We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solicitor to join our team in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of talented solicitors and support staff and further develop your skills and career within a supportive work environment.

You will be part of an energetic team with mentoring from two senior Principals and will have the opportunity to develop your skills across the Private Client and Corporate Tax practice areas.

Key Responsibilities:

o Conducting legal research and drafting advice to clients on a range of private client and corporate tax and duty matters

o Drafting tax-focused legal documentation (rollover agreements, tax governance documents, tax funding/sharing documents

o Assisting senior lawyers with managing client relationships

o Developing and maintaining current knowledge in the private client and corporate tax practice area

Ideally, you will have:

o 1-3 years’ + post admission experience.

o Essential experience in and a passion for private client tax and corporate tax and duty matters – including:

  • Trusts, restructures, asset protection arrangements, tax advice, business and asset succession planning;
  • tax governance, tax consolidation, tax due diligence (M&A) and general corporate tax advisory.

o Experience in duties and other state taxes is regarded as highly desirable.

o International tax experience will be of interest (including transfer pricing, CFCs & thin capitalisation).

o While not essential, experience in other tax areas, or in general corporate/commercial work is also desirable.

o Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
