The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity in our Insurance Litigation team for an Administration Assistant to join our Maroochydore office.

This role is for someone seeking long-term growth with the firm and we also welcome applications from candidates who are currently studying their Law degree and looking traineeship to compliment their studies.

In this role, you will support our team of Legal Secretaries with a range of administrative tasks whilst gaining valuable on-the-job mentoring, training and support within a collaborative legal team environment. This opportunity will suit a diligent, customer-centric individual who enjoys working collaboratively and is eager to build a professional career in the legal industry.

The Role

As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Family Law practice. Working closely with lawyers, clients, and other stakeholders, you will help manage day-to-day operations, maintain efficient workflows, and contribute to the smooth running and overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence, court filings, and medico-legal briefs
  • Managing electronic file creation, filing, archiving, and general file administration, including new file openings and conflict checks
  • Coordinating medico-legal reviews, meetings, calendars, and diary management
  • Processing monthly invoicing, payments, receipting, and related administrative tasks
  • Handling mail collection and delivery, telephone enquiries, and liaising with clients and key stakeholders
  • Providing general administrative and office support to ensure the smooth operation of the practice

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous administration experience within legal, accounting, or professional services
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, proactive, and a collaborative team player
  • Family Law experience or exposure is highly regarded
