About the opportunity
At the McGrath Foundation, our brand is more than our name and logo. It reflects our belief that no one should go through cancer without the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse. Every day, around 450 people in Australia are diagnosed with cancer. Meeting that growing need takes communities, partners, workplaces, supporters, and people across the country coming together. As custodians of our brand, the Brand and Marketing team shares stories that build awareness, deepen engagement and inspire action for people experiencing cancer.
The Senior Brand and Marketing Manager guides diverse activities across campaigns, brand, content and media, while keeping our messaging clear, warm and aligned to our purpose.
About the role
This is a 14-month fixed contract role with a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office and 2 days from home).
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering integrated campaigns and communications that support the Foundation’s revenue goals, marketing strategy, and organisational priorities.
As Senior Brand and Marketing Manager, you will guide the delivery of a significant program of activity across our core brand, campaigns, content and operational execution. Managing a talented team, including internal graphic design capability, this role will suit someone who enjoys a balance of hands-on project delivery and partnering across the organisation to produce meaningful, high-quality work.
What you will bring
You are an experienced marketing leader with strong capability across brand, campaigns, content and media. Confident managing cross-functional projects, you can guide creative work from brief to delivery and build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, and partners. Your writing, storytelling and judgement are strong, and your collaborative leadership style helps people feel supported, focused and empowered to do their best work.
In this role, you will:
- Lead brand, campaign, content, and marketing programs that support our strategic and revenue priorities
- Shape integrated communications across key campaigns, channels, and organisational priorities, working cross-functionally with the extended team and other functions
- Manage team workflow, briefs, timelines, budgets, graphic design work and external partner coordination across multiple campaigns and projects. Support and develop team members, building capability and encouraging clear and efficient ways of working
- Write, review, and refine campaign, brand and supporter-facing copy that connects with our audiences and reflects the Foundation’s voice
About you
You will ideally have a relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline, along with at least five years’ hands-on marketing leadership experience. More importantly you will bring care, confidence and a collaborative spirit, supporting the team to stay focused, do great work and bring our purpose to life.
