About the role:

  • Support planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical construction activities
  • Translate project specs, permits, and drawings into work packs and execution plans
  • Monitor site progress, identify and resolve technical issues
  • Liaise with engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and report on milestones and variations
  • Assist with technical documentation, risk assessments, and change management
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to project meetings
  • Implement and manage quality assurance processes

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience in mechanical project engineering within mining, industrial, SMP or construction environments
  • Experience delivering mechanical installation, maintenance or shutdown projects
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
  • Strong site-based experience and understanding of safety, quality and construction compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills
  • Confident working independently in remote locations on rostered projects
  • Familiarity with MS Project and Excel
  • Familiarity with ITP’s, FIC’s, ITR’s and other quality assurance documentation
  • Must be able to pass regular drug & alcohol testing and site medical requirements
  • Must be a team player and communicate effectively with tradesmen with different backgrounds and skillsets
