The opportunity
You’ll be joining an established but rapidly growing business with the opportunity to build something significant. NSW is one of MAC’s largest growth opportunities, and we’re looking for someone who can identify opportunities, build strategic relationships and drive commercial outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Growth, you’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic partnerships, growing key customer relationships and delivering revenue and margin targets across New South Wales. You’ll lead local growth initiatives, oversee our contractor and channel network, and act as MAC’s senior representative in NSW.

What you’ll be doing
Drive commercial performance
- Develop and execute the NSW business growth strategy and annual business plan.
- Deliver sales, revenue, margin and pipeline targets across multiple products, services and energy programs.
- Identify, pursue and convert new opportunities across energy efficiency, electrification and distributed energy solutions.
- Lead major proposals, commercial negotiations and partnership agreements.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and emerging opportunities.
- Use data and market intelligence to inform decision-making and performance.
Strengthen market capability
- Support the growth and performance of MAC’s contractor and channel network.
- Partner with the Channel Manager to recruit, onboard and develop high-performing partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand network capacity and market reach.
- Maintain strong standards of quality, compliance and customer experience.
Lead and collaborate
- Act as the senior leader for the NSW office.
- Coach and support local team members.
- Promote a collaborative and accountable culture aligned with MAC’s values.
- Work closely with operational, technical, compliance and corporate teams to deliver customer outcomes.
Build strategic relationships
- Develop strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, energy retailers and industry stakeholders.
- Create account growth plans for key customers.
- Represent MAC at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
- Engage with relevant government agencies, regulators and scheme administrators.
What you’ll bring
To be successful, you’ll have:
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, sales leadership, commercial management or market development.
- Proven success delivering revenue growth, new business acquisition and commercial outcomes.
- Strong experience developing strategic partnerships and leading commercial negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage sales pipelines and achieve growth targets.
- Experience managing contractor, channel, reseller or partner networks.
- Strong commercial acumen, forecasting and business planning capability.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, coach and inspire others.
- Confidence using CRM platforms, reporting tools and business data to drive outcomes.
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence.
Highly regarded:
- Experience in energy, renewables, energy efficiency, electrification, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, engineering or sustainability sectors.
- Experience with the NSW Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS), ACT Energy Efficiency Improvement Scheme (EEIS) or similar programs.
- Understanding of distributed energy resources, electrification and energy market dynamics.
- Experience working with energy retailers, government programs or regulatory frameworks.
- Existing industry relationships within the NSW energy, sustainability or trade services sectors.
