Truck Driver

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
• Load and unload goods as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents to management immediately.

Qualifications:

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver’s licence.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a logistics or transport environment.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.

• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods.
