We’re a Sunshine Coast–based organisation with a tight, high-performing finance team that values accuracy, initiative and continuous improvement. As LPE continues to expand its footprint and growth strategy, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Officer to join our team. You’ll work closely with an experienced CFO, Finance Business Partner and Assistant Accountant, gaining exposure across payables, receivables, reconciliations, month-end and audit readiness. Whether you’re building on solid AP/AR foundations or bringing deeper experience, you’ll have scope to improve processes and influence outcomes.

About the Role

Ensure accurate, efficient financial operations by administering invoice processing (AP/AR), executing payments, completing bank and other reconciliations and supporting compliance, reporting and cash flow oversight alongside the finance team. Key responsibilities include:

Invoice & Payment Handling

  • Prepare and process supplier and accounts receivable invoices
  • Run payment batches and ensure on-time payments
  • Apply customer receipts
  • Reconcile vendor and AR accounts, follow up outstanding items

Reconciliations & Cash Management

  • Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor daily cash flow and support simple treasury tasks
  • Flag upcoming payment obligations and cash needs to the Finance Business Partner

 Month-end & Reporting Support

  • Assist with accruals and general ledger entries
  • Perform allocated month end reconciliation
  • Contribute to KPI tracking and management reporting
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Accountant to ensure accurate transaction recording

Audit & Compliance

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audit requests
  • Adhere to internal controls and financial regulations
  • Suggest and support process improvements for accuracy and efficiency

Continuous improvement

  • Continuously looking for ways, and speaking up, to improve and do things better

About You

  • Tertiary qualification (or currently studying) in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Experience in AP, AR, reconciliations or finance administration (early‑career and experienced applicants welcome)
  • Familiar with month-end processes and audit preparation (nice to have)
  • Proficient with MYOB/Xero/Business Central (or similar) and Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong time management and clear communication
  • Proactive problem-solver who enjoys improving processes and working collaboratively
