About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our Melbourne or Perth team.

We are looking for candidates with the right experience to complement our project delivery teams, with the level of responsibility aligned to the successful candidate’s experience and capability.

This role will suit an experienced project professional who can coordinate and deliver complex brownfield and technical project work packages across portfolio and programme delivery strategies while working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and suppliers.

You will play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with technical, contractual, cost and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage assigned project work packages and project activities
  • Support the delivery of projects from planning through to completion
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, contractors and other project interfaces
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements
  • Maintain project schedules and support the achievement of contractual milestones
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Support project planning, execution and reporting activities
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance against project requirements
  • Ensure project activities are undertaken in accordance with HSE, quality, technical and contractual requirements
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress, issues and areas requiring attention

About You

  • 7–10 years’ experience in project engineering, project management or a related role
  • Engineering or related technical qualification – Mechanical or Electrical preferred
  • Experience delivering projects within the energy, resources, engineering or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, planning, cost and schedule management across project portfolio and programme delivery strategies
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ obligations in successful project delivery
  • Experience working with clients, contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Sound commercial and contractual understanding
  • Execution-based exposure, site experience to support our ‘Design for Implementation’ philosophy
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain project momentum
  • Experience in the oil & gas, energy or resources sector is highly regarded
