About the Role

  • Full time (35 hour work week)
  • Maximum term contract until 30 June 2026
  • Based in our West Ryde office

The position provides administrative support to the Housing Solutions team which includes management of the application mailbox by responding to general enquiries, recording clients’ data in various systems such as TRIM, HOMES and MRI. The position provides critical frontline services to a diverse range of people, including those who are vulnerable, have complex needs and are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Responding to initial face-to-face enquiries from people experiencing homelessness, housing applicants, tenants, and stakeholders
  • Managing the Housing Applications data base and Temporary Accommodation spreadsheets to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Providing administrative support to the Manager/Team Leader – Housing Solutions, and broader Housing Solutions team
  • Opening and closing the office at appropriate times (where required/as negotiated)
  • Drafting correspondence including emails and hard copy letters

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in administration support and face to face roles.
  • Awareness of housing issues facing people who are on low to moderate incomes and who seek social and affordable housing
  • Ability to remain composed, patient, and respectful under stressful and challenging circumstances
  • Genuine respect for diversity in all forms (e.g. gender, age, identity, sexual orientation, culture, socio-economic status, ethnicity, language, ability
  • Ability to work effectively as part of team
  • Empathy and compassion for others who face disadvantage

You will also need:

  • Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements imposed by Link Wentworth, including COVID-19 and other vaccinations, as determined by the organisation in accordance with current Government health advice, mandates, or directions
  • A valid National Police Check (less than six (6) months old) to the satisfaction of Link Wentworth, to be renewed every five (5) years or more frequently as reasonably required by Link Wentworth
