We are looking for an experienced NDIS Plan Management Team Leader to join our team in a fully remote, national role.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will continue to manage NDIS participant plans while providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to our Plan Management Team.

You will play an important role in ensuring participants receive a high standard of service, their NDIS funding is managed accurately and effectively, providers are paid within required timeframes, and the Plan Management Team operates efficiently, consistently and in line with NDIS requirements.

What You’ll Do

As the NDIS Plan Management Team Leader, you will be responsible for both Plan Management and team leadership, including:

Plan Management

  • Manage participant NDIS funding and budgets, ensuring funds are allocated and utilised appropriately.
  • Process, review and pay provider invoices accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Complete reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor participant plan expenditure and provide clear and timely budget updates.
  • Support participants to understand their NDIS funding, budgets and available options.
  • Liaise with participants, nominees, Support Coordinators, providers and the NDIA as required.
  • Ensure claims, payments and Plan Management activities comply with NDIS requirements.
  • Identify potential issues with participant funding and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Provide participants and stakeholders with clear, professional and responsive communication.

Team Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to the Plan Management Team.
  • Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure invoices, claims, payments and participant enquiries are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Monitor team performance against agreed KPIs, service standards and organisational expectations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and ongoing support to Plan Management team members.
  • Assist team members with complex, sensitive or escalated participant, provider and NDIS matters.
  • Review work completed by team members to support accuracy, consistency, quality and compliance.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new Plan Management team members.
  • Identify training and development needs and provide appropriate guidance and support.
  • Act as an escalation point for the Plan Management Team and escalate significant matters to the Finance Manager and/or Operations Manager where required.
  • Lead by example by maintaining a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, confidentiality and participant-focused service.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who brings strong NDIS Plan Management experience, financial administration capability and demonstrated leadership experience.

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in NDIS Plan Management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, supervising or coordinating a team, preferably within NDIS Plan Management, finance or a related environment.
  • A relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualification that meets the NDIS Commission’s requirements for workers delivering Management of Funding for Supports in Participants’ Plans (0127).
  • Current membership with a relevant recognised accounting/bookkeeping professional association, as required under applicable NDIS requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS Price Guide, Support Catalogue and NDIS claiming processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing participant budgets, invoices, claims, reconciliations and provider payments.
  • Experience with relevant NDIS and financial systems, including PRODA, CareView and Xero.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and support team members.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of required NDIS training and modules.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Training Modules.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Ability to maintain an active myGovID and authorised access to required government systems, including NDIS portals and RAM.
