Description

Summary:

The Business Development & Partnerships Manager is responsible for identifying, creating and developing community partnerships, business development opportunities and strategic growth initiatives across the Northern Rivers of NSW to ensure sustainability in line with Lifebridge’s strategic plan, vision and purpose. The role participates as a member of the Lifebridge Executive and Leadership Teams, providing strategic advice, support and direction with regard to business development and partnering.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop opportunities that support Lifebridge’s growth, sustainability and strategic objectives based on informed market analysis, social trends, aged care reforms, customer feedback and needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness, referrals pathways and customer engagement across Lifebridge services.
  • Identify and respond to opportunities for sector funding, grants, collaborative projects, pilot programs, new service and income generating models, partnerships, research opportunities and innovative approaches to delivering community programs.
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong strategic partnerships with retirement villages, independent living communities, health practitioners and primary health providers, allied health professionals, hospitals and health networks, local councils and government agencies, community and neighbourhood centres, universities and education providers, volunteer organisations, community planners, industry groups and community organisations.
  • Initiate and maintain ongoing community stakeholder engagement and relationship management activities that create future opportunities, collaboration and positive community impact.
  • Develop initiatives that increase community connection and attract and engage new customers.
  • Develop and support growth and partnership initiatives including, retirement village partnerships, healthy ageing programs, social prescribing pathways, age friendly community initiatives, community wellbeing programs, volunteer and social connection initiatives.
  • Explore neighbourhood-based models that strengthen local connection and participation.
  • Identify opportunities associated with social prescribing and community referral pathways.
  • Identify opportunities to increase Lifebridge’s influence as a community leader including participation and presentation at community forums, networking events, industry events and conferences, Chamber of Commerce activities, Rotary and community groups, local government forums, media and promotional opportunities, with a focus on promoting Lifebridge’s purpose, services and community impact.
  • Identify opportunities to share Lifebridge stories, achievements and impact.

Competencies Required

  • Qualification in Community Development, Business, Communications, Social Sciences, Health, Human Services or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of aged care, community services, health systems or the not-for-profit environment
  • Knowledge of healthy ageing, social prescribing, volunteering or place-based community initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic partnerships, community development, stakeholder engagement, business development or similar role.
  • Exceptional presentation, relationship building, networking and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated business and commercial acumen, innovation, initiative and strategic thinking.
  • Current driver’s license, roadworthy vehicle and ability to travel within the community as required.
