Summary:

The Social Services Development Lead plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of social services within the Life Care community. This position involves leading initiatives that promote social welfare, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The role is vital for fostering collaboration and innovation in social service delivery, ultimately contributing to the betterment of community well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of social service programmes and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with community organisations, government agencies, and stakeholders to identify needs and resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social services, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide training and support to staff and volunteers involved in social service delivery.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Advocate for policies and practices that enhance social welfare and community support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social services or community development roles.
  • Strong understanding of social service systems and community resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management and evaluation techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
