Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Technician to join our team. As a Sheet Metal Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products across various industries. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, precision measurements, and the ability to work with a variety of materials. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain various sheet metal tools and equipment, ensuring their proper functionality.
  • Perform precision measurements and calculations to ensure accurate cutting, bending, and shaping of sheet metal.
  • Install sheet metal products, including ductwork, roofing, and ventilation systems, while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during fabrication or installation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and materials related to sheet metal fabrication.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and installation.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
  • Familiarity with various sheet metal materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and operate machinery safely.
