Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workers Compensation Lawyer to join our legal team in Hobart, Tasmania. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients navigating workers compensation claims. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the legal framework surrounding workers compensation in Australia and demonstrate a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on workers compensation matters to clients and stakeholders.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings related to workers compensation claims.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and case law affecting workers compensation.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals and support staff to ensure effective case management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admitted to practice law in Tasmania or eligible for admission.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in workers compensation law or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
