Description

About LBA:

Family-owned since 1985, LBA has spent four decades building some of Melbourne’s most considered architectural projects across the residential and commercial markets, working alongside architects and clients who hold the finish line to a high standard.

We’re a group of around 80 people. Big enough to run structured, well-resourced projects. Small enough that the work you do is visible and the people you work with are consistent.

Most of our clients have been with us for years. Most of our team have too. That’s not accidental — it comes from taking the work seriously and being straight with people about how it gets done.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Contracts Administrator to join one of our project teams, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager. This is a full Contracts Administrator role with real responsibility across the commercial function of the project.

You’ll manage the financial and contractual obligations that keep a project commercially sound through claims, variations, subcontract procurement, cost reporting and everything in between.

Subcontract procurement – from tender packages and scope preparation through to execution and deed of release.

Day to Day:

  • Head contract administration – progress claims, variations, EOTs, NODs, SOPA compliance
  • Subcontract procurement – from tender packages and scope preparation through to execution and Deed of Release
  • Assessing subcontractor payment claims, back charges and retention
  • Budget management, cost reporting, cash flow forecasting and accrual
  • Trade procurement – reviewing quotes, identifying scope gaps, preparing trade evaluations
  • Document control, RFI management and correspondence via Procore
  • Meeting minutes, shop drawing coordination and general project administration

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Hands-on experience in a CA role on commercial construction projects
  • Sound understanding of head contract conditions, subcontract administration and SOPA
  • Comfortable working in Procore, and Procure Pro
  • Accurate, organised and able to manage competing deadlines without dropping the ball
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal with subcontractors, consultants and clients

What to expect at LBA Construction Group:

You’ll be working with an experienced Project Manager and a team. LBA has structured systems and processes that gives our teams the tools to do their job properly. We back people who show up prepared and engaged, and we invest in those who want to grow.

The work is varied, the projects are bespoke and interesting, and the team is one you’ll want to be part of.
