Dental Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist in all aspects of patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient records. The Dental Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring that the dental office is clean and organized, and that all equipment is properly sterilised and maintained, and for reception duties as required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the practitioners in all aspects of patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient records
• Ensure that the dental office is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment
• Equipment Sterilisation
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Cert 3 in Dental Assisting (preferred)
• 1 year experience in dental assisting
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

On Offer

This full-time role will be between 36 and 40 hours per week working on a roster from Monday – Friday. Paid at an hourly rate between $31-$34 per hour (depending on skills and experience), we have a great coffee machine, modern facilities and a welcoming and great small team.
