About the Role:
In support of the project we are now seeking highly energetic Utility – Housekeeping Attendants to deliver high standards of accommodation and village presentation at Echidna Gully Village.
As a Housekeeping Attendant, your primary focus will be on cleaning and accommodation services, it forms part of a multi-skilled Utilities team, with responsibilities extending across kitchen, laundry, and general village operations as required.
This role is on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role.
Roster – 7 days on / 7 days off (12hr shifts) – Day Shift Only
Key responsibilities will include:
- Clean and service accommodation rooms (routine and changeover cleans)
- Clean bathrooms, amenities, and communal areas
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Manage linen changeovers, including bed making and collection
- Operate laundry facilities (washing, drying, folding)
- Replenish linen and consumables
- Replenish items such as soap, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
- Assist with kitchen or food service areas during peak periods if required
- Support general cleaning across the village, including outdoor communal areas
- Follow cleaning procedures and workplace safety standards
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and maintenance issues
About You
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Experience in accommodation, camp, or hospitality environments desirable
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Attention to detail
- Strong hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Reliability and consistency
- Ability to work autonomously
- Teamwork and flexibility
Requirements:
- Current driver’s license (mandatory)
- First Aid Certificate/CPR Qualification (desirable)
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
- Must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance, obtained within the last six months upon request.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, and comply with ongoing testing during employment.
