Lady Gowrie Tasmania (LGT) is seeking experienced and passionate educators to lead our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services at Lansdowne and Rosetta.

We are looking for confident professionals with experience in education and care who can lead a service, support a team of educators, and create engaging, child-centred experiences for children and families. About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate OSHC Educator to join our team and provide high-quality care and engaging learning experiences for children in our Outside School Hours Care service. In addition to educator responsibilities, this role will undertake Team Leader duties and receive a Team Leader allowance in recognition of the additional leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will support day-to-day service operations, mentor team members, build strong relationships with children and families, and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment.

You will:

• Lead the daily operation of the service with confidence and professionalism.
• Guide and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care experiences.
• Develop engaging programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework.
• Create a welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported and included.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, schools and the wider community.
• Support service administration and day-to-day operations.
• Uphold Child Safe Standards, Mandatory Reporting obligations and National Quality Framework requirements.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, respect and continuous improvement.

Vacant Locations

Rosetta OSHC

• 30 hours per week
• Hours are negotiable for the right candidate
• Availability across a minimum of 4 afternoons per week is essential

Lansdowne OSHC (West Hobart)

• Part-time opportunity
• Hours to be discussed during the recruitment process

 About you:

You are an experienced educator who understands the importance of creating positive, engaging and meaningful experiences for children.

You are confident leading a service, making decisions independently and supporting a team to deliver high-quality education and care. You take a holistic approach to supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development and understand the value of building strong relationships with families and the wider community.

You will bring:

• Experience in OSHC, Early Childhood Education and Care, or a similar education and care setting.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of the My Time, Our Place Framework.
• The confidence to lead a service and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• A professional, approachable, and collaborative leadership style.
• Sound decision-making and organisational skills.
• A commitment to delivering enriching and inclusive experiences for children.
• Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Child Related Activity).
• Current First Aid, Child Safety and Food Safety training (or willingness to obtain).
