POSITION PURPOSE
• Mentor, coach and care for the growth and professional development of centre-based self-funded, trainees and apprentices in all aspects of their training and assessment
• Perform on the job assessment within agreed timeframes (min monthly for students under management)
• Be a mentor for the students, including conducting study groups and be available for one-on-one consultations with students
• Ensure that each student completes at least one unit a month unless reasons have been discussed with Manager
• Complete assessment competences within set timeframes
• Ensure 80% of your Students Under Management (SUM) complete a minimum of one unit per month
• Proactively seek and bring new students into the college
• Complete all necessary documentation in relation to assessments and training in accordance with KKTC Policies and the ASQA standards
• Ensure student records are updated in student management software (Cloud Assess/Axcelerate) and to KKTC’s compliance standards
• Proactively visiting centres not currently serviced by KKTC to create new training opportunities (e.g., additional student placement opportunities) and centre-based drop ins to educate centres KKTC is not supporting KKTC’s points of difference.
• Ensure professional development and industry currency is relevant and up to date (updating the PD register) • Build strong rapport with key centre-based stakeholders, notably Centre Managers, Educational Leaders and
Room Supervisors to lock in our service delivery and keeping these stakeholders positive about our training (and notifying via weekly reporting any changes to Centre Management)
• Display continual improvement in student management practices (i.e., use of technology, efficient schedule mgmt., marking, visits etc.) and report your ‘work arounds’ via weekly reporting to be shared with the rest of the training team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Tuition
• Ensure the completion of units to allow course to be completed within required timeframe
• Support students in completing units with competency to the level expected of KKTC
• Maintain students records ensuring student database is updated weekly • Deliver training in accordance with KKTC Policies and the ASQA standards.
• Mentor and support students to achieve a thorough practical knowledge of the required elements of each unit
• Report to management any concern of grievances students may have
Compliance
Ensure monthly submissions are administratively completed, including but not limited to;
• Student name, signature and date on both Practical & Theory Assessment
• Supervisor name, signature, date & Comment present in Logbook
• Assessments are visually marked
• Must have visits planned via your Calendar and use student notes in Axcelerate actively
• Must use Cloud Assess for assessment and ensure forms processed in timely manner
• All ERA’s / LAR’s / TP’sup to date and checked at the required frequency as instructed by Compliance • All student training plans are up to date
• Adhere to policies for not issuing more than 2 units at a time without approval from GM Training Delivery
• Meet the compliance standards for evidence gathering and signing off units in accordance with VET Standards and direction from GM Commercial Optimisation and / or GM Training Delivery
• Escalate students to compliance that are falling behind agreed T/P timelines for unit submission (min 1 unit per month target)
• Professional Development/Industry Currency up to date/Matrix always up to date as per KKTC currency policy.
Operations
Connect with students and centres at very strong level to deliver better training outcomes.
• Ensure a high percentage of visits convert to units and minimise ‘no shows’ and ‘no productive OTJ visits by connecting and mentoring students with a quality and committed focus
• Maintain consistent contact with students (1 visit per month per student) and ensure reporting of same through student management system
• Ensure 90% + at all times real time reporting in place
• Ensure new enrolments/documentation is returned in full to administration within non-negotiable time frames (14 days)
• Review the progressions report and take action on students not meeting the required benchmarks
• As per above compliance requirements, ensure Training Plans are always up to date and students delivering 1-unit avg per month
• Ensure students are provided with feedback on their completed assessments within 7 days of submission (and work with Trainer Support teams as needed to ensure a consistent and informed feedback loop on assessments)
• Inform GM Commercial Optimisation, GM Training Delivery and Student Services team of any employer or compliance-based issues that need to be addressed in a timely manner
• Work with GM Training Delivery on optimising performance, actively managing your SUM and keeping a ‘positive tension’ on student progression
• Ensure you are utilising the RTO’s software in an effective manner
• Attend all scheduled Trainers Meetings
Professional Development
Undertake Professional development and maintain industry currency
• Keep Trainer Matrix document updated and ensure compliance is provided an updated copy at no longer than 6-month intervals
• Complete your qual upgrade / RPL within agreed timelines
• Attend any KKTC provided PD sessions
• Maintain HLTAID012 and HLTAID009
