Keystone Civil is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Regional General Manager to lead and grow our operations across the Sunraysia region.

Established in 2013, Keystone Civil has built a strong reputation for delivering high quality road, renewable energy and pipeline infrastructure projects throughout regional Victoria and surrounding areas. With approximately 70 employees, we have deliberately remained a boutique civil contractor, allowing us to focus on quality, relationships and exceptional project delivery.

As our Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance and continued growth of the region. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for project delivery, financial performance, people leadership, client relationships and business development.

You will have the autonomy to lead the region while being supported by an experienced executive team.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all regional activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest standard. You will lead a team of Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and operational staff while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.

This role is ideal for a proven civil construction leader who enjoys building teams, developing people and driving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all regional operations, ensuring safe, profitable and efficient project delivery.
  • Develop and implement the regional business plan in line with Keystone’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and Profit & Loss accountability.
  • Build, mentor and lead a high-performing team across operations and project delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Strengthen relationships with clients, councils, government authorities, developers and key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support tendering and business development activities.
  • Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, legislative and HSEQ requirements.
  • Foster a culture aligned with Keystone’s values of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular operational and financial reporting to the Managing Director.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Extensive leadership experience within the civil construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and operational teams simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant project portfolios and regional Profit & Loss.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on leadership approach.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
