Description

JRM Resources are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Engineer to join our team on the Newmont Boddington Gold Mine, supporting the delivery of our project works.

This is a key site-based role on an 8/6 roster (DIDO) with camp accommodation, offering the opportunity to take ownership of critical earthworks and civil packages within a large-scale, fast-paced mining environment.

Working closely with the site leadership team, you will lead the coordination and execution of works on site driving performance across safety, production, and commercial outcomes. You’ll be hands-on in managing subcontractors, planning and scheduling works, overseeing cost control, and ensuring compliance with both JRM and client standards.

This role suits a Senior Project Engineer who thrives in the field, understands the realities of mining operations, and can confidently lead teams to deliver results in a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and review scopes to ensure accurate pricing and effective project execution
  • Evaluate pricing, quotes, and estimates from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Manage onsite resources, including plant, personnel, and equipment
  • Support project start‑up activities, constructability reviews, and methodology development
  • Provide technical engineering support and collaborate closely with Supervisors
  • Develop work packs, QA/QC documentation, methodologies, and project schedules
  • Coordinate procurement of materials in line with project budgets
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling
  • Liaise with clients, management, and key project stakeholders

About You

  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Hold an Australian‑recognised qualification (ideally in Civil Engineering)
  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar Project Engineering role
  • Proven civil construction experience, including bulk earthworks and civil projects in a mining environment
  • Strong communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving capability and resilience
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License
  • White Card
