YOUR ROLE, HONESTLY
The Student Data Reporting Analsyt supports the National Student Administration Lead by delivering student data reporting, analytics, and survey insights across all JMC campuses.
The role is responsible for regulatory reporting of student data & TCSI reporting, building and maintaining data dashboards, tracking key student outcomes and experience metrics, administering student surveys, and providing the evidence base that drives informed decision-making across the institution.
Working at the intersection of student administration, student experience, and institutional quality, the Student Data Analyst converts student data into practical intelligence that supports early intervention, service improvement, regulatory confidence and evidence-based decision-making across national and campus teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop, maintain and improve dashboards and reports covering student administration, engagement, progression, retention, satisfaction and outcomes.
- Provide timely reporting to the National Student Administration Lead, Head of Campus Operations, Campus Operations Managers, and National Functional Leads.
- Create clear, accessible reporting outputs that support practical decision-making.
- Monitor the quality, accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting of student data across relevant systems.
- Support the development of data definitions and consistent reporting logic across national reports.
- Analyse trends in student engagement, retention, progression, withdrawal, survey responses and service demand.
- Support evidence-based prioritisation of student experience, administration and career support initiatives.
- Support the collection, analysis and reporting of student feedback, survey data and pulse check results.
- Prepare summaries of key findings for operational teams and leadership.
- Support implementation of new reporting solutions and automation opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel or similar reporting tools.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality assurance.
- Ability to work with operational teams to identify data issues and improve data capture at source.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in data analytics, information management, or a related field.
- Working with children check required.

- You are uncomfortable explaining data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
THE PRACTICAL BITS
BASE: Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with hybrid working and some in-office presence for collaboration and key events.

TYPE: Full time, permanent.
