The Role
We are looking for a commercially driven and people-focused Automotive Sales Team Leader to lead sales activity across JET Charge’s automotive customer base.
This role is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing sales team that consistently builds pipeline, converts opportunities and delivers against commercial targets within the automotive sector of the EV charging market.
You will lead the day-to-day commercial output of the team, including pipeline health, forecasting, CRM discipline, customer activity, coaching and performance management. You will also stay active in-market, support key deals and ensure team members are equipped and motivated to perform.
This role will suit someone who can translate commercial strategy into clear team priorities, bring structure and discipline to sales execution, and develop people while staying close to customers, pipeline and market activity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the Automotive sales team to deliver against sales, margin, pipeline and customer growth targets.
- Coaching and developing direct reports through regular 1:1s, feedback, performance conversations and capability-building.
- Maintaining strong pipeline, forecasting and CRM discipline across the team.
- Running consistent sales cadences, including pipeline reviews, deal reviews, account reviews and forecasting rhythms.
- Supporting key automotive customer opportunities and helping progress deals with pace, confidence and commercial discipline.
- Helping the team prioritise high-value opportunities and manage customer activity in line with commercial objectives.
- Gathering customer and market feedback and sharing insights that support GTM planning, sales playbooks and offering development.
- Working closely with delivery, operations, marketing, product and other internal teams to support smooth deal execution and customer outcomes.
- Identifying risks, blockers or pipeline gaps early and driving action to resolve them.
- Contributing to Automotive OKRs and initiatives that support JET Charge’s commercial growth strategy.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in sales leadership, business development, account management or a similar commercial leadership role.
- A strong track record of leading teams to deliver commercial outcomes.
- Experience managing pipeline, forecasting, CRM discipline and sales operating rhythms.
- Strong commercial judgement, including the ability to assess deal value, pricing, margin, risk and operational feasibility.
- Confidence coaching salespeople, lifting capability and addressing performance early and clearly.
- Experience working with automotive customers, commercial deals or infrastructure-related sales environments.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across customers, direct reports, peers and senior stakeholders.
- The ability to translate strategy into practical team priorities and customer activity.
- A collaborative working style, with experience partnering across delivery, operations, marketing, product or similar functions.
- Initiative, ownership and the ability to act quickly when risks, gaps or blockers emerge.
