Description

Summary:

The Finance Assistant will provide accounting and financial administrative support services to the finance team. They will ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist in payroll processing and submitting statutory reports
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Provide assistance to the finance team with ad hoc projects and requests
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Handle queries and requests from internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in banking and financial services
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
