As our Project Controls Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of major infrastructure and network expansion projects across Australia. Working closely with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, Construction and Property teams, you’ll provide the planning, forecasting and reporting that helps keep projects on track and supports informed business decisions. About the role 

This role is responsible for providing project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting and reporting support across IOR’s infrastructure project portfolio. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to monitor project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide insights that drive successful project outcomes.  

• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and resource plans across infrastructure projects. 
• Monitor project budgets, expenditure, cashflows and forecasts to support effective financial control. 
• Prepare project dashboards, KPI reporting and management reports that provide visibility of portfolio performance.  
• Support risk, change management and governance processes to ensure projects remain compliant and well controlled.  
• Collaborate with Project Managers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to provide project controls and analytical support. 

What you’ll bring 

You’ll bring strong analytical capabilities, a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to interpret project data to support decision making. You enjoy working collaboratively, have excellent attention to detail and can confidently manage competing priorities in a project environment. Experience in project controls, planning, scheduling or cost management will position you well for success in this role.  

• Experience in project controls, project planning, scheduling, cost control or a similar project delivery environment.
• Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and project performance reporting. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Power BI, Excel or similar project controls software.  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
