About the role
This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers through proactive account management, customer support, and business development activities. You’ll work closely with the Sales team, engage with customers to identify growth opportunities, maintain strong CRM records, and support initiatives that retain customers, reactivate dormant accounts, and drive new business growth.
- Manage a portfolio of Network & Bulk customers, qualifying inbound leads and proactively engaging with assigned customer and prospect lists to uncover new opportunities.
- Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication, account reviews, and responsive support that delivers outstanding customer experiences.
- Identify opportunities to grow customer value, increase wallet share, expand customer sites, and support customer retention initiatives.
- Prepare proposals, pricing requests, and sales documentation while maintaining accurate customer activity and opportunity records within CRM systems.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team and Sales Support Manager to progress opportunities, reactivate dormant accounts, and support daily sales operations.
- Leverage proven sales tools, targeted campaigns and compelling customer offers to reactivate customers, grow existing accounts and win new business.
- Use established value propositions and proven sales approaches to identify opportunities and deliver customer growth.
- Build the skills and experience needed to progress into future external sales opportunities at IOR
What you’ll bring

You’re organised, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in account management, customer service, sales support, or business development will position you for success, along with confidence using CRM systems and collaborating across teams.

- Excellent communication and telephone skills with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage customer information, sales activities, and reporting requirements.
- Proactive, customer-focused, and commercially aware, with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and contribute to sales growth.
