Description

  • ​​Primarily working within the IOH Fear Less Phobia Clinic, however, can be required to provide treatment based interventions in Workers Insurance, Medicare or private clients, and other employer direct services. 
  • ​Working with clients to diagnose and treat specific phobia (vehophobia) using a manualised, 6 sessions, CBT based treatment program which includes Virtual Reality (VR) exposure. 
  • ​IOH Fearless Clinic operates within CTP scheme however there may be scope to undertake work in other schemes. This may include, but is not limited to, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance, Workers Insurance, Medicare or private clients, and other employer direct services. 
  • ​Conduct psychological assessments and treatment in line with your skills and competency as per the Scope of Practice within the AHPRA General Registration Standard.​  

Essential Criteria: 

  • ​​Tertiary qualifications in Psychology. 
  • ​AHPRA Registration. 
  • ​Current SIRA registration or eligibility to obtain. 
  • ​Unrestricted Current NSW Driver’s Licence. 
  • ​Strong understanding of psychological assessment and treatment tools and methodologies. 
  • ​Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • ​Ability to deal with all clients and fellow employees in a pleasant, professional and helpful manner. 
  • ​Understanding of and commitment to WHS & EEO.​ 

 

Desirable Criteria: 

  • ​​Demonstrated oral and written communications skills. 
  • ​Previous experience in Workers Insurance/CTP psychological treatment. 
  • ​Experience with or understanding working with anxiety and specific phobias particularly Vehophobia. 
  • ​Understanding and knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and associated requirements.​ 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • ​​Ensure client satisfaction through all stages of contact with IOH Fear Less Phobia Clinic. 
  • ​Provide psychological treatment, assessment and other services that are appropriate to professional skills, qualifications and experience. 
  • ​Refer to other professionals for services outside specific skills area. 
  • ​Communicate effectively with clients and customers. 
  • ​Educate the client of any responsibilities under the funding scheme.  
  • ​Ensure privacy is maintained, whilst gaining consent to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to optimise recovery. 
  • ​Maintain clear records and documentation for services provided and complete these in a timely manner. ​

Conditions of Employment 

  • ​​Maintain AHPRA registration with no conditions on registration.​  
  • ​​Current NSW driver’s licence and ability to travel between various IOH sites.​  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Administrative: 

  • Use IT/case management systems effectively to maintain records, progress notes and documentation of cases, case reviews and data reporting requirements.  
  • Understand and meet legislative and funding requirements including collecting and recording statistical data and do so in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through all stages of the case while working with all stakeholders.  
  • Maintain clear records and documentation for services provided. 
  • Maintain a standard of quality in line with IOH Process and Quality Assurance.  
  • Adhere to IOH Billing guidelines and maintain funding requirements for cases.  

Other Duties: 

  • Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices. 
  • Act only in ways that advances IOH objectives, values and reputation.  
  • Perform other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the Reporting Manager. 
  • Contribute to operational planning as requested by Reporting Manager. 
  • Discuss work & organisational problems with management. 
  • Engage in performance reviews and implement corrective action resulting from each review. 
  • Complete other duties that may be reasonably required. 
  • Attend staff meetings. 
  • Be available for and engage in training where needs are identified. 

Work Health and Safety (WHS): 

  • Follow safe work practices and work instructions to comply with WHS legislation and obligations. 
  • Report any safety issues and take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others. 
  • Seek guidance for all new or modified work procedures. 
  • Ensure any hazardous conditions, near misses and injuries are reported immediately to management or a Health and Safety Representative (HSR).

  • Assist in process improvement to update policies, procedures and work instructions. 
  • Assist in ensuring effective control of the purchase, disposition and use of IOH resources.
