About the Role
The Strategic Projects Program Lead is responsible for leading and driving inTouch’s Prevention and Recovery initiatives, with a focus on strengthening community capacity and delivering culturally safe responses to family and sexual violence. This role provides strategic leadership to initiatives that are informed by community needs and support meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Working closely with Community Leaders and grassroots organisations, the Strategic Projects Program Lead will build strong partnerships that foster collaboration, inform service delivery and advocacy, and support the co-design of community-led initiatives, including programs, podcasts and videos. The role also strengthens place-based knowledge to ensure responses remain relevant, culturally responsive and community-informed.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination
- Lead and facilitate the planning and implementation oversight of all program activities, ensuring alignment with funding agreements, policy objectives and organisational goals including ;
- Lead the development and implementation of practitioner training in partnership with Community and Specialist services such as SETS, CASA and NOOR Survivor-Advocates.
- Lead the implementation of the SETS Prevention Campaign in partnership with NOOR Survivor-Advocates and internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead prevention and early intervention activities such as Men’s Circles, Healthy relationships, Building Strong Families and parenting in a new country.
- Lead and develop the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of Family Violence
initiatives informed by the principles of Community Capacity Building, Recovery Goals, and the Trauma-Informed Community Capacity Building program.
- Leading and facilitating the development and implementation of proactive, community
capacity building initiatives.
- Building external service partnerships to support the needs of clients and communities
from a refugee and/or asylum seeker background.
- Report regularly on emerging themes, activities and outcomes to inform areas for
community engagement.
Program content & Community Resource Development- Podcast & Video:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments and design
comprehensive training curriculum and community resources tailored to the needs of migrant and refugee communities affected by family and sexual violence. This includes podcasts, social media and video.
- Develop engaging and impactful training materials, including presentations, training
guides, resources, media and tools, and support the development of e-learning modules, in alignment with identified project objectives.
- Engage in relationships with internal and external stakeholders to engage them in the
curriculum process, achieve required outcomes, and meet delivery timeframes.
Technical Expertise & Advice
- Develop and contribute to training content and delivery on specialist subject matters such as domestic, family and sexual violence in the context of migrant and refugee communities.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and advancement, research, best practices, and evidence-based approaches in family violence and culturally responsive training methodologies.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community-based organisations across each service delivery location, building upon inTouch’s Partnership Framework to foster collaborative relationships that support group facilitation, community engagement and capability building initiatives.
Monitoring, Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate and report on program outputs and outcomes, including client referrals, group
participation, partnership strength, and the impact of community and sector engagements.
- Coordinate reporting through required government systems, demonstrating compliance with
program impact and performance metrics.

Key Selection Criteria:
Essential
- Proven experience in project coordination or management and delivery within the
settlement, community development or primary prevention of family and sexual violence
sectors.
- Proven professional experience in a similar role in content and program development,
preferably within related discipline.
- Proven knowledge of the national family violence landscape and the complexities of
family and sexual violence of migrants and refugees, and the needs of multicultural communities and wider sectors.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in multimedia tools, and emerging
technology trends to integrate into training content development.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise training
materials.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee complex, multi-location programs, including resource
allocation, team coordination and excellent partner and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in partnership
development and support, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by migrant and refugee communities,
including systemic barriers to justice and wellbeing.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a track record of delivering
programs on time and within scope.
- Strong data collection, analysis and reporting skills to monitor program outcomes and
impact.
Desirable
- Strong networks within Settlement services or family and sexual violence services in
one or more of the program locations.
- Fluency in a language other than English.
