Assistant Restaurant Manager

Industry Beans Newstead is our largest venue, housing a café, restaurant, and coffee roastery all within an architecturally designed warehouse conversion.Combining a premium dining experience, with functions capability and on site Roastery with training facilities, Industry Beans Newstead is Brisbane’s most innovative specialty coffee and food experience.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our venue. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a team and executing a unique customer experience. The right person will be experienced with strong floor and waiting abilities. The ability to lead with a positive demeanour and ensure customers have a memorable experience is crucial to this role.

Must be available to work Wednesday–Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday as consecutive days off. Immediate Start!

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Overseeing and leading a passionate team of hospitality professionals
• Delivering a unique and enjoyable customer experience
• Assisting with functions and events
• Supporting and administering a structured staff training program
• Stock management including ordering, rotation and wastage control
• Assisting the Restaurant Manager where required including general HR and Administration duties

You’ll be perfect for this role if you have:

• A passion for coffee, customers, service and hospitality
• At least two years’ experience in a leadership role
• Strong service skills with the ability to manage a team
• Personable approach with impeccable presentation
• Advanced interpersonal, communication, customer service and leadership skills
• RSA (required)
