At Impact, our Claims team plays an important part in making sure the work happening across our employment services programs translates into accurate and timely outcomes.

We’re looking for a part-time Claims Officer to work 15 hours per week, with additional hours as required. You’ll be someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and keeping things moving behind the scenes.

What you’ll do

You’ll support the accurate and timely processing of claims, progress payments and wage subsidies, while working closely with our teams to make sure we’re meeting contract requirements and capturing the outcomes being achieved.

You’ll:

  • Review and process outcome claims and progress payments accurately and on time
  • Monitor placements and outcomes and identify upcoming claim opportunities
  • Support the administration of DEWR-funded wage subsidies
  • Investigate claim eligibility and analyse data to identify trends, variances and ineligible claims
  • Maintain accurate records and data, identifying and resolving errors or duplication
  • Support and guide our Consultants to understand claims requirements and get things right the first time
  • Liaise with employers to confirm placements and maintain accurate records, and
  • Work with the Claims Manager and broader team to support site and organisational targets.

This role will work across our Impact sites, giving you the opportunity to connect with and support teams across the organisation, with some flexibility to work remotely.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, analytical and has a strong eye for detail.

You’ll be comfortable working with data, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines, while being confident enough to investigate when something doesn’t quite add up.

You’ll also bring:

  • Previous experience in claims, administration, employment services or a similar role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • The ability to work independently while still being part of a collaborative team.

What you’ll need

  • National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain one
