Description

Maximise asset value. Make the deals. Own the outcome!

About us:

I’m in the Right is an Australian-owned accident management company. Our purpose is to support not-at-fault drivers during stressful times and help them get back on the road as quickly and smoothly as possible.

I’m in the Right is looking for a commercially minded Vehicle Purchasing & Disposal Specialist to buy and sell vehicles across our fleet — with one clear objective:

Deliver the best possible financial return on every vehicle asset.

This is a hands‑on, relationship‑led role for someone who understands vehicle markets, knows how to negotiate, and can consistently extract value through smart buying, disciplined disposal, and strong supplier relationships.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of fleet vehicles — from acquisition through to disposal.

You’ll operate within structured approval frameworks, but your value comes from market insight, supplier leverage, and judgement, not process administration.

This role suits someone who:

  • Thinks in terms of asset yield, not just price
  • Knows when to follow the rules — and when a commercially justified exception makes sense
  • Enjoys negotiating, building dealer relationships, and working the market

What You’ll Be Doing Buying Vehicles

  • Source and procure vehicles for both replacement and operational use
  • Secure the strongest commercial outcome using dealer networks,OEMs, auctions, and secondary markets
  • Use the IITR platform, Vehicle Sourcing Software, and supplier tools to assess pricing, availability, and value
  • Prepare commercially sound purchase recommendations for approval

Selling Vehicles

  • Own the end‑to‑end disposal of fleet vehicles
  • Maximise resale value through the right timing, channel selection, and partner management
  • Work primarily to rule‑based replacement cycles, with the ability to identify and execute justified exceptions
  • Prioritise maximum value recovery over speed, unless risk or utilisation dictates otherwise

Supplier Relationships

  • Build strong, commercially effective relationships with dealers OEMs, auction houses, and remarketing partners
  • Use relationships to access off‑market opportunities and better terms
  • Hold suppliers accountable for outcomes, not excuses

Commercial Insight

  • Track market conditions, demand trends, and vehicle desirability
  • Provide insight that challenges decisions which do not optimise asset return
  • Escalate risks where market shifts or utilisation threaten value

What Success Looks Like

  • Strong acquisition pricing relative to market benchmarks
  • Disposal outcomes that consistently outperform forecast
  • High‑quality supplier relationships that create optionality and everage
  • Clear, defensible commercial recommendations
  • Better financial return on fleet assets over time

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in vehicle procurement, fleet, automotive sales, or remarketing
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial judgement
  • A relationship‑led approach that understands the value of the right dealer call at the right time
  • Comfort working within approval‑heavy environments while still driving outcomes
  • Confidence making value‑based decisions backed by market knowledge

Why Join I’m in the Right

  • Commercially focused role with real impact on financial outcomes
  • Clear ownership — you buy it, you sell it, you own the result
  • Work closely with senior Fleet and Operations leaders
  • No fluff, no micromanagement — just outcomes that matter
  • Birthday leave
  • Novated leasing options
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Paid weekly
  • Modern office steps from public transport in North Sydney
