Customer Service Assistant

We are an established privately-owned chain of 30 liquor stores (and growing) located throughout New South Wales. We are currently seeking multiple enthusiastic and customer-focused Casual Service Assistants to join our team, working across two of our liquor stores in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, located just 10 minutes apart.

At George’s Cellars, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high store standards, and creating a positive and supportive team environment. As a Casual Service Assistant, you will play a key role in providing outstanding service to our customers while assisting with day-to-day store operations.

This presents an excellent opportunity for a wine, spirits and craft beer enthusiast to work within a growing independent liquor retail business while developing their product knowledge and retail skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional customer service and product recommendations.
• Processing sales through the POS system.
• Maintaining store presentation and merchandising standards.
• Receiving, unpacking and replenishing stock.
• Assisting with promotional displays and ticketing.
• Ensuring compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
• Supporting store security and loss prevention initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous retail or liquor industry experience.
• A passion for customer service and liquor products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A current RSA certificate
