The Role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the delivery of next-generation Land Command, Control, Communications and Information (C4) capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale capability modernisation program focused on enhancing digital connectivity, communications and information services across the land domain. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help shape integrated technology solutions that support operational effectiveness, data-driven decision making and future capability growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, integration and delivery of complex communications and information systems.
  • Contribute to requirements analysis, systems engineering activities and capability development planning.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists, project teams and stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
  • Assist with testing, verification and systems integration activities across multiple capability streams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and the delivery of modern, interoperable technology solutions.

About You

  • Experience working within systems engineering, communications, ICT or Defence capability programs.
  • Strong understanding of complex, integrated technology environments and system-of-systems concepts.
  • Ability to analyse technical problems and contribute to practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Current NV1 security clearance with the ability to obtain NV2 if required.

Additional Information

  • Experience working within Defence, government or large-scale critical infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of communications networks, command and control systems, tactical communications or information systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic project environment.
  • This role supports nationally significant capability outcomes and requires a professional, outcome-focused approach.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to security and engagement approval processes.
