The Role

We are seeking experienced Senior Security Engineers /Vulnerability Assessors to support the protection and ongoing improvement of complex ICT and cyber security environments.

Working within a highly secure operational setting, you will identify, assess and prioritise security vulnerabilities, support threat-informed risk management activities and provide advice that strengthens security posture across enterprise systems. This opportunity is ideal for cyber security professionals with strong experience in vulnerability assessment, security assurance and risk analysis who enjoy working on challenging and mission-critical systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform security risk assessments and business impact analysis across complex ICT environments.
  • Identify, assess and prioritise vulnerabilities through security testing, analysis and assurance activities.
  • Investigate suspected cyber security incidents and support incident response and remediation efforts.
  • Evaluate security controls and identify opportunities to improve security architecture, compliance and resilience.
  • Assess threat profiles across a range of systems, technologies and devices.
  • Provide advice on physical, procedural and technical security controls protecting both digital and physical assets.
  • Review solution and systems designs, identifying risks and recommending security improvements.
  • Support security monitoring, compliance activities and assurance programs.
  • Contribute to the development of security standards, policies and architecture guidance.
  • Prepare technical reports, risk assessments and recommendations for stakeholders.

 

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in cyber security, vulnerability assessment, security engineering or security assurance roles.
  • Strong experience conducting compliance monitoring, controls testing and security assurance activities within enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting security audits, risk assessments and governance activities.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence, threat modelling and vulnerability management methodologies.
  • Understanding of intrusion detection, security monitoring and analysis of anomalous behaviour across networks and systems.
  • Experience investigating security incidents and contributing to effective incident management outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of ICT systems, security architecture and secure systems design practices.
  • Ability to assess technical risks and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within government, Defence or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant industry certifications or qualifications in cyber security, threat intelligence, security auditing or vulnerability assessment will be highly regarded.
