The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Officer to support the delivery of strategic cyber and critical technology initiatives. This role will work closely with government stakeholders, delivery partners and industry representatives to coordinate program activities, manage contracts and support the successful delivery of complex projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised professional with strong program management, stakeholder engagement and government writing experience.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and administration of strategic technology and cyber-related programs.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, reporting and program implementation activities.
  • Prepare high-quality briefs, talking points, correspondence and other written materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and engage with government agencies, industry partners, delivery organisations, academia and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks and issues, and contribute to effective project outcomes.

 

About You

  • Current NV1 Security Clearance or higher.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting complex government-funded programs.
  • Experience in contract management, budget management and program delivery.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience preparing briefs, reports and executive-level documentation.
  • Excellent organisational, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

 

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Australian Government processes and governance frameworks.
  • Experience using grants management systems or the ability to rapidly learn new platforms.
  • Background in cyber security, critical technologies, international engagement, grants management or related policy areas.
  • Experience working across government, industry, research or international stakeholder environments.
  • Understanding of international relations, strategic policy or technology-related programs.
