The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a Defence space capability program based in Canberra. This is a great opportunity for a project management professional to take ownership of delivery — keeping scope, schedule, budget and risk on track through sound governance and strong stakeholder engagement.
You’ll coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external partners, driving projects from acquisition and integration through to acceptance and transition into operational service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project management plans, schedules, budget forecasts and performance reporting
- Achieve project milestones in accordance with approved governance and assurance requirements
- Manage and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where required
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Support transition of capability into operational service, including handover and sustainment planning

- Current NV1 security clearance
- Demonstrated project management experience, ideally on complex acquisition or capability projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules and risk registers
- Experience delivering projects through acquisition, integration, testing and acceptance phases
