The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead RF Security Assessment Specialist to support critical national security and technology programs. This role will suit a senior technical professional with deep expertise in radio frequency (RF) engineering, specialist security testing, and vulnerability assessment within highly sensitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specialist RF security assessment and compliance activities.
- Conduct technical testing, analysis and reporting to identify vulnerabilities and security risks.
- Provide recommendations to improve system resilience and security controls.
- Deliver technical briefings, knowledge transfer and training to a variety of audiences.
- Support the development and enhancement of testing methodologies and assessment frameworks.
- Perform detailed RF measurements and analysis using specialised laboratory equipment.
- Contribute to technical capability development initiatives and mentor junior practitioners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, industry and technical stakeholders.
- Assist organisations in understanding, assessing and mitigating complex technical security risks.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in RF engineering, testing or technical security assessment environments.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies and security risk identification.
- Experience conducting complex technical investigations, testing and analysis activities.
- Proven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Experience working with laboratory-grade RF measurement equipment and associated technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently while leading specialist technical activities.
Required
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
- Ability to reinstate AGSVA TSPV Security Clearance is required.
- Candidates must be eligible to work within highly secure environments.
- Additional organisational suitability assessments may be required prior to commencement.
- Ability to work onsite, 5 days a week at minimum for the initial 6 months
Additional Information
- Highly regarded experience includes:
- Delivery of technical training, mentoring or capability development programs.
- RF compliance testing, electromagnetic interference (EMI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), or related testing disciplines.
- Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies.
- Experience within Defence, national security, intelligence or other highly regulated environments.
