The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a Defence integration program team in Melbourne. This is a great opportunity for a commercial professional to lead procurement activities and contract management across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
You’ll work closely with project management, engineering and military stakeholders, exercising a strong degree of independence to shape procurement approaches and manage contracts through their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop procurement methodologies and contracting options that deliver value-for-money outcomes
- Develop tender documentation and lead or support tendering and evaluation activities
- Provide expert advice on procurement methodologies, tender development and evaluation criteria
- Conduct or facilitate contractual liability workshops and risk allocation analysis
- Develop and operate contract management processes to track performance, variations and financial status
Required
- Current NV1 security clearance
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry/domain experience
- Detailed procurement methodology and contracting experience with Government and private organisations
- Understanding of the Defence Procurement Policy Manual, Commonwealth Procurement Rules and ASDEFCON suite
- Experience delivering Defence projects, including logistically complex environments
