About the business

Huon Regional Care is a not-for-profit long-established provider of quality community and aged care services across Southern Tasmania, and we are looking to appoint an experienced Level 3 Registered Nurse Clinical Care Manager for our Residential Aged Care facility situated on the beautiful Tasman Peninsula.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and focused Level 3 Registered Nurse to work across our facility as a Clinical Care Manager, leading the delivery of resident-focused services.

The successful candidate will have energy and enthusiasm and will be accountable for the overall operational and financial management of Nubeena facility and must ensure clinical and care teams comply with relevant legislation, manage risk and effectively deliver care that encompasses a strong and positive wellbeing for our residents.

The role will require you to meet quality of care standards for our residents, operate within the financially sustainable business model, provide a safe, motivating, professional and friendly workplace and meet, as a minimum, all regulatory and Accreditation compliance requirements.

Skills and experience

We would anticipate the successful candidate would:

  • Hold a current and valid registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience and knowledge of aged care and rural health services.
  • • Knowledge of contemporary practice and its application.

    • Demonstrates passion about clinical management.

    • Knowledge of the legal requirements, relevant policies and procedures of the practice setting.

    • Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise in the clinical area.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.

    • Ability to act in the preceptor role and support and guide other members of staff.

    • Problem solving and decision making skills.

    • Ability to motivate and organise self and staff.

    • Knowledge of research methods and Quality Improvement programs and the ability to apply these principles.

    • Demonstrated competence in organisational management.

    • Be outcomes driven.
