Drive treasury strategy in a growing, family-owned business

We are now looking for a Treasury Manager to lead and evolve our treasury function within our Shared Services team. Reporting to the CFO and leading one direct report, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the detail while also contributing strategically to the future direction of the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have the opportunity to influence funding strategy, optimise liquidity management, strengthen treasury operations, and play a key role in a broader finance transformation journey.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Treasury Manager, you will oversee the Group’s treasury operations across multiple business units while leading the transformation of our funding model and supporting continued business growth.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance and operations, partnering with banking institutions and external advisors to ensure strong governance, effective liquidity management, and commercially sound funding strategies.
This role offers a genuine balance of strategic involvement and operational ownership, making it well suited to someone who enjoys building capability, improving processes, and working within a collaborative and agile business environment.
While the role operates in a remote environment, th
e successful candidate will be expected to attend in-person meetings with external stakeholders and banking partners as required.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead day-to-day treasury operations including cash positioning, liquidity management, and forecasting oversight
- Manage and mentor the Treasury Accountant, providing coaching and development support
- Lead the design and implementation of a transformed group funding model
- Oversee intercompany funding flows, cash pooling arrangements, and banking structures
- Monitor FX, interest rate, and counterparty risk exposure
- Manage relationships with banking partners, auditors, and treasury advisors
- Deliver accurate reporting across cash, debt, investments, and funding positions
- Strengthen treasury controls, governance, and compliance processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across treasury systems, reporting, and automation
- Partner closely with finance leaders and operational teams across Australia and New Zealand
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proven experience in treasury, cash management, or corporate finance
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and funding structures
- Experience leading treasury or funding transformation initiatives
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability
- Experience managing banking relationships and financial risk exposure
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CFA, or ACT preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and pragmatic approach
- Experience within a multi-entity or growing business environment will be highly regarded
