Description

Summary:

As a Disability Support Worker in Cleveland, Queensland, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This temporary, casual position offers an opportunity to provide essential support and assistance, ensuring that clients can engage in their daily activities with dignity and independence. Your contributions will be crucial in fostering a supportive environment that promotes inclusion and empowerment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the supervisor.
  • Encourage and promote independence among clients while ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or equivalent qualification. (e.g. Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care)
  • Previous experience in a support role is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
