Transport Operations Coordinator

Monday to Friday | 9am to 5pm | Full-time Opportunity 

Location – NSW (Wetherill Park) or VIC (Clayton)

HDS is a fast-growing home delivery and logistics business that keeps goods moving to customers across Australia. 

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Transport Operations Coordinator to join our team and to help manage transport operations, routes and client relationships across our network. 

About the role 

You’ll help manage HDS’s transport operations nationally, planning and optimising delivery routes, coordinating carriers and drivers, and keeping clients informed at every stage of delivery. It’s a fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a team. 

Key responsibilities 

• Plan, optimise and manage delivery routes across metropolitan and regional networks nationally 
• Oversee day-to-day national transport operations, ensuring orders are dispatched and delivered on time and in full 
• Manage carrier and driver performance, capacity and bookings, and coordinate linehaul and interstate movements 
• Act as the operational point of contact for clients, handling enquiries, updates and complaints by phone and email 
• Problem-solve transport challenges across the network, including delays, missed deliveries and capacity issues 
• Maintain accurate records in transport and order management systems and report on DIFOT and route performance 
• Follow workplace health and safety and Chain of Responsibility procedures at all times 

About you 

• Experience in transport operations, ideally across a national or multi-state network 
• Route planning and optimisation experience 
• Confident liaising with clients, carriers and drivers 
• Strong attention to detail and a good sense of urgency 
• Reliable, punctual and a great team player
