The Role
We are seeking an experienced Removals Training, Quality Control & Storage Officer to play a key role in improving training standards, quality outcomes, and inventory accuracy across our removals and storage operations.
This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who is willing to travel across multiple states with strong removals and storage experience who is passionate about doing things right — from loading and storage through to inventory and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
● Deliver inductions and onboarding for new removals staff (drivers, offsiders, supervisors).
● Conduct ongoing skills training including:
○ Safe manual handling and WHS compliance
○ Packing, wrapping, and furniture protection standards
○ Truck loading and unloading best practices
○ Storage preparation and containerisation
○ Inventory control processes and documentation
○ Accurate completion of ICRs (Inventory Condition Reports)
● Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, checklists, and visual guides. ● Identify training gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
● Support performance management and improvement plans through structured training.
Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct regular quality audits of:
● Removals jobs (residential and commercial)
● Storage receivals and dispatches
● Warehouse loading and container packing
Monitor compliance with company policies, WHS requirements, and customer service standards.
Review damages, claims, inventory discrepancies, and customer feedback to identify root causes.
Work with operations and warehouse teams to reduce damages, losses, and rework. Ensure consistent application of loading, storage, and inventory standards across all crews
Storage, Loading & Inventory Control
● Train and audit staff on correct storage procedures, including:
○ Storage module/container loading standards
○ Weight distribution, stacking, and securing loads
○ Labelling and identification protocols
● Oversee inventory control accuracy for storage jobs.
● Ensure all ICRs are completed correctly, legibly, and in accordance with company and insurance requirements.
● Conduct spot checks and audits of inventories against physical goods. ● Support investigations into missing items, damages, or discrepancies. ● Assist with continuous improvement of storage and inventory systems and processes.
Operational Support
● Work closely with Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers, and Supervisors to align training and quality standards with operational needs.
● Provide on-the-job coaching and real-time feedback to crews in the field and warehouse.
● Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
● Support return-to-work and modified duties training where required. Reporting & Administration
● Maintain training, competency, and compliance records.
● Track audit outcomes, ICR accuracy, inventory discrepancies, and damage trends. ● Provide regular reports to management on training completion, quality metrics, and storage compliance.
● Assist in setting and monitoring KPIs related to safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and storage performance.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
● Proven experience in the removals industry is essential.
● Strong understanding of removals operations and best practices.
● Hands-on knowledge of storage containerisation, loading, and inventory processes. ● Experience delivering training or coaching in a hands-on environment.
● Knowledge of WHS and manual handling requirements.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching.
● Current driver’s licence.
● Experience in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance roles.
● Forklift licence.
● Experience working across multiple sites or crews.
● High attention to detail, particularly with inventories and documentation.
