Description

HHG Legal Group is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Perth office and provide high-quality support across a variety of practice areas.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in being organised, dependable and one step ahead, and who genuinely enjoys building their career as a Legal Assistant.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day legal and administrative support to fee earners
  • Managing diaries, appointments, deadlines and competing priorities
  • Preparing, formatting and managing legal correspondence and documents
  • Coordinating court dates, mediations, settlements and client meetings
  • Opening, maintaining and closing files and ensuring matter records are kept up to date
  • Assisting with billing, time recording and general matter administration
  • Liaising professionally with clients, courts and other external stakeholders
  • Anticipating the needs of fee earners and proactively keeping workflows moving
  • Providing support across different practice areas and teams as required

No two days will necessarily look the same, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable adapting to the needs of the team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to confidently manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of written communication
  • A professional and client-focused approach
  • Confidence working with different personalities and working styles
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work
  • The ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative member of the wider team
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career as a Legal Assistant

Experience across multiple practice areas will be highly regarded.
