About the Role

Ambalindum Station is seeking an experienced and motivated experienced Station Hand to join our livestock operations team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong cattle handling skills, sound station experience, and the ability to work independently while supporting and mentoring other team members. Based in a remote station environment, you will play a key role in day-to-day livestock operations, animal welfare, property maintenance, and team leadership activities. Drawing on demonstrated time in industry experience, you will contribute to the safe, efficient, and productive running of the station.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily station work activities and livestock operations.
• Muster, handle and process cattle while maintaining high animal welfare standards.
• Follow and promote all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and requirements.
• Support, mentor and share skills with junior station staff.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive team culture.

You are a capable and reliable station professional who thrives in a remote, team-based environment. With solid livestock experience and a practical approach to station life, you can confidently perform day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision while supporting others to succeed. You take pride in your work, communicate effectively, and lead by example through your commitment to safety, animal welfare, and teamwork.

• Demonstrated experience in the livestock or pastoral industry.
• Proven livestock handling and cattle husbandry experience. 
• Strong communication, literacy and record-keeping skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and experience mentoring others.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
