We’re seeking a proactive National Account Executive – Whole Foods Market to drive profitable sales growth across Hewitt’s retail grocery customers in the US. This is a pivotal role where your impact on growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction will be clearly seen and valued.

The National Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of the Whole Foods Market account, supporting the growth of Hewitt Foods’ portfolio of natural, organic, and specialty food brands. This role serves as the primary liaison between Hewitt Foods and Whole Foods Market, managing account activities, driving retail execution, and supporting strategic initiatives that increase sales, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced managing national retail accounts, preferably with Whole Foods Market. They possess strong communication, analytical, and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive sales growth in a fast-paced CPG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Hewitt Foods and Whole Foods Market representatives.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure timely execution of customer requirements.
  • Coordinate new item setup, product onboarding, category review submissions, and retailer documentation.
  • Support the development and execution of annual business plans, promotional calendars, and sales strategies.
  • Prepare pricing analyses, cost calculations, sales reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Develop monthly and annual base and promotional volume forecasts by product line, proactively communicating forecast risks and opportunities to Sales, Finance, Operations, and other internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful execution of customer programs.
  • Coordinate product samples, promotional materials, customer meetings, and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Whole Foods Market policies, procedures, and vendor requirements.
  • Maintain accurate account documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer records.
  • Analyze sales trends, promotional performance, and retailer data to develop actionable business recommendations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that increase operational efficiency and enhance customer service.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of National account management experience supporting large scale retail customers, preferably Whole Foods Market.
  • Strong customer service orientation with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), meat and or chilled perishable experience preferred,
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field highly regarded; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Preferred

  • Experience working directly with Whole Foods Market systems, category management processes, and retailer requirements.
  • Meat industry experience
  • Knowledge of retail sales reporting, promotional planning, forecasting, and business analytics.
  • Experience working with syndicated data platforms and retail reporting tools.
  • Passion for natural, organic, and specialty food products.

Work Environment:

This is primarily a remote position with travel required for customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and team meetings.
