Mobile Plant Operator – Gold Mining Operations

Heritage Minerals is coming back to life, restoring the rattle and hum of 30 years past.

We are seeking motivated, safety-focused Mobile Plant Operators to join our growing mining operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the restart of a historic gold mining operation, where you’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient extraction and movement of ore and waste while contributing to a strong safety culture and operational excellence.

As Heritage Minerals continues to ramp up operations, these positions will initially commence on a casual Monday to Friday roster, as mining activities are established.

Over the coming months, successful employees will have the opportunity to transition into permanent positions on our operational mining roster as the project moves into full production.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate mobile mining equipment in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and complete daily equipment checks.
• Operate equipment efficiently to achieve production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Identify and report equipment defects, hazards and operational issues.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards around work areas and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, dispatch, maintenance personnel and fellow operators.
• Accurately complete production reports, logbooks and shift handovers.
• Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive team culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience operating mobile plant within a mining environment.
• Experience operating one or more of the following mobile mining equipment: CAT 745 Articulated Haul Trucks, CAT 775 Rear Dump Trucks, Komatsu PC360LC & PC950 Hydraulic Excavators, CAT 980 Wheel Loaders, Komatsu D155AXi Dozers, Komatsu GD655 Graders & Isuzu WT18000 Water Trucks
• A strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental responsibility.
• Sound operating skills with the ability to work safely and productively.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster, including day and night shifts.
• The ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Essential Requirements

• Current Australian Driver Licence.

Relevant RII Statements of Attainment for mobile plant operation.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
• National Police Check (or the ability to obtain one).
• Full Australian working rights.

Desirable Qualifications

• HR or MC Driver Licence.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience operating equipment in open-cut mining operations.
