Compiler/Classifier

Due to growth we are seeking a Compiler/Classifier to join our Customs team. The position vacant can be filled at any of our Australian office locations being Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.

Tasks for the role include;

-Provide a high level of customer service internally and externally for technical advice matters

-Compile and classify import declarations

-Assess declarations in line with regulatory expectations

-Handle lodgments with biosecurity via COLS

-Keep up to date with all related legislation and industry changes. ACN/DCN/Gazette/FTA

-Identify opportunities for process improvement

-Work collaboratively to ensure best outcomes for the customer and business

Experience and skills required for this role include;

• 12 months+ of knowledge and experience compiling and classifying a range of commodities.
• Enrolled or finished the Intl Trade Course TLI50822- Diploma of Customs Broking.
• Understanding of government regulations and law, international shipping regulations, customs procedures and INCOTERMS.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Experience with Cargowise, BICON and COLS preferable.
• Driven individual capable of working within a corporate, compliance driven leader within the industry.
• Compliance focused individual.
• Teamwork oriented.
• Comply with Quality Management System requirements.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. All operations within Henning Harders are Australian based. No offshoring. Hybrid working arrangements of 3 days per week in office available for the right candidate.
