About the Role
HEH Civil is seeking a Safety Officer to support a project-based team in Cairns / Far North Queensland. Reporting to the Systems Manager, this role is based onsite in the project site office and will support day-to-day safety, environmental and quality activities for the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site inspections, audits, task observations and hazard reporting
- Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, incidents and corrective actions
- Help maintain HSEQ documentation, records, training and toolbox talks
- Support the Integrated Management System and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 requirements
About You
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Construction White Card and current Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Good communication skills and confidence working with site teams
- Willingness to learn and build practical safety experience in civil construction
- Experience in safety, WHS, HSEQ, civil construction or DTMR projects will be highly regarded, but is not essential

This is not a FIFO role. The successful candidate will need to be based in Cairns or the Far North Queensland region and able to work onsite from the project site office.
