About the Role

HEH Civil is seeking a Safety Officer to support a project-based team in Cardwell. Reporting to the Systems Manager, this role is based onsite in the project site office and will support day-to-day safety, environmental and quality activities for the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site inspections, audits, task observations and hazard reporting
  • Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, incidents and corrective actions
  • Help maintain HSEQ documentation, records, training and toolbox talks
  • Support the Integrated Management System and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 requirements

About You

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Construction White Card and current Queensland Driver’s Licence
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with site teams
  • Willingness to learn and build practical safety experience in civil construction
  • Experience in safety, WHS, HSEQ, civil construction or DTMR projects will be highly regarded, but is not essential
